Foster Care Fortnight 2021 runs May 10-23 and is the annual national campaign to raise awareness around the need for more foster carers to look after local children and young people. In London alone nearly 1000 new foster care families are currently needed.

The theme this year is Why We Care and aims to help people understand and value fostering, to realise what foster carers do and the incredible difference they make to young people’s lives. Foster Care Fortnight helps spread awareness to recruit more local people to become foster carers, as well being a chance to reflect and celebrate all the great work that all foster carers do across the country.

This year we want to start as many fostering conversations as possible in our community and to help people find out more we will be running two online information sessions over the fortnight, Wednesday May 12 at 10am (follow this link to book: and Tuesday,  May 18 at 6pm (

We will also be running stories across our social media channels so look out for more information, past information session films and news on our Facebook and Twitter pages.

This is a great time to take that first step so if you would like to know more give the team a call on 020 7527 7933 or drop us an email
